A Word from the Candidate¹
"I am excited to officially kick off my campaign for Rochester School Board - Ward 1 / Seat B.
As a long-time Rochester resident, I understand our city.
As a veteran public school teacher, I understand how effective schools work.
As a father of two children in Rochester schools, I know families want what is best for their children.
Over the next 6 weeks I will work to earn the votes of my neighbors in Ward 1.
The key issues of my campaign:
ATTRACT AND KEEP HIGH QUALITY STAFF
We have a staffing crisis in our schools. We can’t give our students an excellent education if we can’t hire and keep excellent staff.
STAKEHOLDER INVOLVEMENT IN THE HIRING OF ADMINISTRATORS
When we hire a new principal or superintendent, the school community must be part of the process.
INCREASE THE SCHOOL BUDGET WITHOUT RAISING TAXES
Our taxes are high and our schools are under-funded. We need to work with our City Council to get more funding from the State and the Feds.
THE NEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - WE MUST GET IT RIGHT
Our students need a safe, efficient and modern school building. I will request a seat on the Joint Building Committee to ensure the residents of our ward get the school we need.
Please check out my website to learn more about my campaign - www.votebellows.com
Please sign up for my mailing list - I want to connect with you and hear your thoughts about our schools: www.votebellows.com/get-involved
Please consider donating to the campaign - it will help me spread my message by covering the costs of signs, printing, postage and gas - https://www.paypal.com/donate/...
Thanks in advance for all the support.
