A Word from the Candidate¹
"Good afternoon Rochester,
Here is a little bit more about me. I am a business owner with my partner Zach. I have volunteered in our city on different events. I have done fundraisers for sports ( even the ones my kids don't play). I have been a big advocate to parents, staff and students that reach out to me about the issues they are having in our district. I go to board meetings and speak on these issues. I'm also a big advocate on special education. The special education in our district needs board members who will help the program and fight for these kids. We need a change in our district and I believe I can be that change."

Foster's 2021 Questionnaire Responses²
What do you see as the top three issues facing the district, and how can the board address them?
Trust requires transparency. I will be open and available to parents.
I will ask for a review of all board policies in open, public meetings. Parent engagement is only at 30%. We can do a lot better.
Education should be the board's priority. Our Spaulding high school is ranked No.12,275 in the national ranking. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required testing, graduation on how well they prepare students for college. We need better systems for our students so we can better our students.
Money is being spent on things that we don't need. We need to spend money on the students. What can we purchase to better our students education. We also need to do better for our staff and not have them spend their own money for their classrooms.
How, if at all, would you work to strengthen the district’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts?
We are all different in life and it doesn't affect my life and any decisions I would make if I was elected. There shouldn't be any harassment for anything in school and if there is, it should be dealt with. New laws in place about discrimination which include That an individual, by virtue of his or her sex or race, is inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive.
Everyone should be made to feel welcome, encouraged and valued.
How, if at all, would you work to strengthen the district’s mental health and wellness efforts for students?
As mental health is a major issues in our schools, we need to help those students who are asking for help and let them know that we do care for them. Why not spend some COVID-19 relief money for a better program to come in our school and talk to students and help them. There are many things that the board can do to help mental health issues.
