A Word from the Candidate¹
"In the past [...]years, I have proudly been part of the Rochester School Board. As a father I have seen the benefits of our school system, as a citizen I have seen the community support the schools to obtain funding, and as a Board Member I have seen how a TEAM can support our great schools, educators and administration. I am running for the Rochester School Board. I have put my name in to be re-elected for the At Large Seat and I am looking for your vote!!!"

Foster's 2021 Questionnaire Responses²
What do you see as the top three issues facing the district, and how can the board address them?
The top three issues I see for the district are maintaining a tax cap compliant budget with the goals of maintaining services and not reducing staff; finalizing our building plans to eliminate the need for modular classrooms and working to improve our test scores as we have seen a drop during remote learning. To do this, it will take collaboration from all staff and the school board.
How, if at all, would you work to strengthen the district’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts?
I currently and will going forward encourage our student body to bring forward ideas which can be reviewed and possibly implemented in our district. For example, we had a bright student bring forward “period poverty" and the district was able to work together on an excellent accommodation. We have a student body of different backgrounds, they should feel comfortable, and together we should work together on ways to make it happen.
How, if at all, would you work to strengthen the district’s mental health and wellness efforts for students?
Working towards improving the mental health of our students is something I feel strongly about. Students should see our schools as a safe place and resource to help. That is why I voted in favor of bringing in in-house school psychologists which allows for more availability for our students.
