Candidate's Interview for School Board Vacancy (August 2025)
"Hi everyone! My name is Lisa Carlberg and I am running for School Board – Ward 4.
As a parent of five children in our community, I care deeply about making sure every student has the support and opportunities they need to succeed. I am actively working with the school district to launch Rochester’s first Family Engagement Council, where parents and educators work together to strengthen communication and build solutions that reflect the needs of our students and families.
At home, I’m always busy — whether it’s tending my garden, caring for our many animals (chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, dogs, cats, and fish — oh my!), or learning Czech alongside my minimally verbal son as we explore new ways to connect and grow together.
Professionally, I bring experience in business systems, strategy, and governance, along with an MBA and Lean Six Sigma certification. I’m ready to put those skills to work for Rochester by focusing on collaboration, transparency, and practical solutions that support our kids, teachers, and community.
I would be honored to earn your support this election!"

With a degree in Early Childhood Education, an MBA, and years of experience in policy advocacy, I know how to ask the tough questions, push for clear communication, and work toward solutions that put students first. I’d be honored to have your support!
