Message from the Candidate¹

"As a 12-year resident of this community, mother of two (including a high school student and a child in special education), and a long-time Girl Scout leader, I am deeply invested in the success, well-being, and inclusion of every student in our district. I am running for school board because I believe every child, regardless of their abilities, interests, or academic performance, deserves equitable access to quality education, support, and opportunity.

My personal experiences as a parent navigating the special education system have given me unique insight into both the strengths and the challenges within our schools. I understand firsthand the importance of advocacy, individualized support, and inclusive practices. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to ensuring that all students feel seen, valued, and supported.

Supporting our teachers is a critical part of that commitment. Teachers are the foundation of our educational system, and they deserve the resources, respect, and professional development necessary to meet the diverse needs of their students. When we support our educators, we directly support our students, creating classrooms that are more effective, engaging, and inclusive.

As a Girl Scout leader, I’ve spent years empowering young people to be confident, compassionate, and community-minded. Leadership in this role has shown me the power of mentorship, collaboration, and creating environments where diverse voices are heard and respected.

I strongly believe in transparency, fiscal responsibility, and community engagement. Taxpayer dollars must be managed with integrity and focus, ensuring our schools are both effective and efficient. Just as importantly, decisions must be made in partnership with families, educators, and students, with open communication and accountability at every level.

If elected, I will bring a grounded, empathetic, and thoughtful perspective to the board — one rooted in real-life experience, a passion for public education, and an unwavering commitment to the success of all children."

Additional Message

"Running for school board isn’t about politics for me. It’s about service. It’s about listening. And it’s about making decisions that put students first, every single time.

If elected, I will work to ensure transparency in decision-making, support our teachers with the tools they need, and advocate for policies that reflect the values of our community.

Between now and Election Day, I want to meet or speak with as many people as I can. If you have questions, ideas, or concerns, I want to hear from you. I believe the best decisions come from honest, open conversations."

Candidate's Announcement²

"I’m one of the new candidates running for school board this fall. I’m not here for any “side.” I’m here for the kids — all the kids, not just certain groups. That’s the only side that should matter.

I’m not afraid to say what I think — and I’d say it face-to-face the same way I say it here. I welcome honest, respectful conversations, even when we disagree."
